Down Payment for homes

No. If you are a first time buyer or a veteran, you
can often obtain a loan that will not require you to
make any down payment at all.  You will still
need earnest money, inspection fee and often
    appraisal fee.

In recent 2008 news down payment assistance
programs have been outlawed for an
undetermined amount of time, making many zero
down transaction impossible. However, not all
hope is lost.  Contact your Real Estate agent to
find out if there are any special grant programs in
your area that are available to you.
